Mission statement: Our Women’s Ministry provides concrete ways to build up the Body of Christ and help women discover their true purpose as beloved daughters of God, giving them the tools to be effective in the spiritual struggles in their lives. We also pray for the intentions of the group and the Church.
Goals:
To learn the truths of our Faith.
To strengthen our prayer life.
To grow in holiness.
To develop Christian friendships with other women.
What it entails:
We use dynamic, faithful Catholic studies which include videos, books, small group discussions, and sometimes workbooks. Women of all ages are welcome!
We offer 3-4 programs per year which are announced in the bulletins. Past offerings include Full of Grace: Women and the Abundant Life, 33 Days to Morning Glory, and Consoling the Heart of Jesus.
The length of the studies can vary anywhere from 5 to 12 weeks. Women can join every study or just one. We usually meet at St. Patrick Center on Thursdays from 7-8:30 p.m.
We also make the women aware of wonderful opportunities such as Magnificat breakfasts, Festivals of Praise, women’s conferences and Perpetual Adoration, and will coordinate carpooling if needed.
Facilitators are Patty Costantino, Karen Luksis, and Alicia Long.
