Safety and Security

The Safety and Security Team's purpose is to recognize, develop, implement, and train for the Health, Safety, and Security needs of the St. Oscar Romero Parish. We are all-inclusive and welcome members with the same ambition to promote Safety, Health, Accessibility, and Security on all three St. Oscar Romero Parish Campuses. We are also a Faith-Based Community orientated Outreach Organization.

Thursday, January 16 is our re-organizational meeting in the Miraculous Medal Banquet Hall at 6:00 pm.

The St. Oscar Romero Safety Ministry is being reorganized under the new title of St. Oscar Romero Safety and Security Team. We are looking for volunteers that believe in our mission statement: “To provide the St. Oscar Romero Parishioners with a Healthy, Safe, and Secure Environment to Worship our Lord.” These volunteers will work to remove the stigma of Churches being a soft target. Come and bring your ideas, skills and desire to protect our Parishioners and see what we are all about. Over 350,000 people suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in United States each year.

1. Quick action is vital to help save a life. While only about 50% of SCA (Sudden Cardiac Arrest) victims initially require defibrillation, all will require CPR to keep oxygenated blood moving to the brain and other vital organs.
2. If you perform CPR and use an AED within minutes, you can significantly increase a person’s chance of survival.
