Martha and Mary Ministry is a group of volunteers who minister to bereaved families from our parish. Throughout the year after the loss of a loved one, we mail a set of four short books called Journeying through Grief to the next of kin. One book is sent at 4 crucial times during that first year after the loss of a loved one. The books, stamps, and thank you notes for donations are all paid for from contributions to Martha and Mary Ministry. We are currently attending to more than 100 families in our parish community.
Anyone interested in helping with our grief ministry, please contact JoAnn Williams at 724-745-1531 or at [email protected]
Our ministry will assist people through the process of setting up their funeral service and any other activities related to the passing of their loved one. We will meet personally with the family to work through the readings and hymns for the service. Please call Rosa for assistance: 724-745-6560.
For planning purposes below there are files linked below to help you decide readings for the Mass of Christian Burial. Please feel free to print them and then ask us for any additional guidance or support.
